Employee Central (EC) is the core module of SAP SuccessFactors and serves as the foundation for all other components of the platform. As such, Employee Central can be viewed as the counterpart to Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM) in the SAP HCM ecosystem.

Employee Central Time Tracking

SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking is an add-on to Employee Central that offers comprehensive time recording and evaluation features. It is designed for organizations with more complex time management requirements, such as shift work, flex time, premium pay, or legally mandated break schedules.

Employee Central Payroll

The Employee Central Payroll (ECP) module is technically closely related to the classic SAP HCM Payroll and is based on the proven payroll technology of SAP HCM. EC Payroll has been specifically adapted for hybrid cloud deployment, with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central serving as the upstream master data module and EC Time Tracking as the cloud-based time management solution.
