… many different names, but only one deadline applies: 31.12.2027!
Of course, 2027 still sounds a long way off. But not when it comes to a complete system migration. Sooner or later, every company that uses SAP ERP HCM will have to migrate, as SAP will stop maintaining the system (SAP note 2881788). But where exactly do you start?
The first step is the same for all companies – working out the status quo. To do this, the so-called SAP S/4HANA Readiness Check must first be carried out. We have explained what the readiness check is and how exactly it works in our blog post Preparing for the move to SAP HCM for S/4HANA: What happens during the S/4HANA readiness check?
If our blog post has clarified many of your open questions, we would like to present two offer packages for carrying out the readiness check in this post. The two packages differ in the scope of services based on the level of support you require.
The All-In package includes all activities required to carry out the Readiness Check. This also includes support with the technical implementation (installation of all necessary SAP upgrades). We take care of this in cooperation with your SAP Basis service provider.
If you have already created the technical prerequisites, we will be happy to advise you as part of the Interpretation-Only package.Both packages create a clear picture of your current SAP HCM system landscape and the delta to “H4S4”. We will also draw up a cost estimate for you for the implementation of SAP HCM for S/4HANA (technical and functional upgrade of the systems) and a corresponding project plan.

The maintenance period for SAP Business Suite 7 (ECC) and the previous SAP ERP HCM as an on-premise solution ends at the end of 2027 (extended maintenance until 2030). For the future, SAP SuccessFactors is planned as a cloud solution for HR management. For companies that do not yet want to move to the cloud, SAP has announced an SAP HCM on-premise variant on an SAP S/4HANA (“H4S4”) instance, which will be available from Q3 2022.
