The maintenance period for SAP Business Suite 7 and the previous SAP ERP HCM as an on-premise solution ends at the end of 2027 (with extended maintenance available through 2030). SAP plans to offer SAP SuccessFactors as the cloud solution for human resources management in the future. For companies that are not yet able or willing to make the move to the cloud, SAP has announced an on-premise version running on an SAP S/4HANA instance, which will be available starting in Q3 2022—SAP HCM for S/4HANA, on-premise (“H4S4”).
