End of SAP HCM Support in 2025 – Will Everything Be in the Cloud by Then? Options and Compromises for Your SAP HCM Strategy
As is well known, the support period for the current on-premise version of SAP HCM will end at the close of 2025. SAP views SAP SuccessFactors as the sole future solution for human resources management—that is, a cloud-based solution. From a purely technical standpoint (time management, payroll, etc.), however, SAP SuccessFactors does not yet meet all (German) requirements. As an interim solution, SAP has announced an on-premise version of SAP HCM running on an SAP S/4HANA instance starting in 2023. This version is scheduled to be supported until at least 2030.
One thing is clear: there is a need for information. Many questions are on the minds of the market and, in particular, users:
