scdsoft DTA verification report

Industry & Trends, scdsoft Lösungen / 26.11.2025

Due to necessary changes in payment medium formats, which will be mandatory by November 2026 at the latest, outgoing payments from your SAP system may be rejected!

To avoid this, relevant master data for the payment recipients must be filled in. We have developed an scdsoft DTA check report for validating the master data.

We recommend planning the changeover in SAP HCM in good time so that you have enough time for checks and tests!

Background

The new ISO 20022 format has been officially available since March 2023. This ISO standard is based on message and file types in XML data format and is the global payment standard of the future for digital payments between banks and businesses.

In this context, there are also changes to the requirements for SEPA payments: In the future, SEPA payments must be based on structured data.

This means that the payment carrier formats must be converted to pain.001.001.09 (credit transfer) and pain.008.001.08 (direct debit). The conversion is mandatory by November 2026 at the latest.

The change is also relevant for SAP S/4HANA from release OP 1709 onwards, as the previous DMEE transaction for maintaining format trees has been supplemented by the DMEEX transaction, which includes numerous new features.

Requirements for SAP HCM systems

This affects all SAP systems that involve outgoing payments, including the SAP HCM system with wage and salary transfers, transfers of contributions to health insurance companies, professional pension funds, and insurance institutions.

With the introduction of the pain.001.001.09 format, address data must be transmitted in a structured form for each payment. The new specifications define clearly defined fields for the individual components of an address; at a minimum, the postal code and city fields must be specified.

If address data is not provided in the required structured form and/or does not include the necessary mandatory fields, the payment will be rejected.

The following error message will appear in the banking portal, for example:

For the SAP HCM system, this means that recipient data must be maintained in, among other places,

  • Infotype 0009 Bank Details,
  • Infotype 0010 Capital Formation,
  • Infotype 0011 External Transfers,
  • Infotype 0116 Garnishment DE Transfer
  • Infotype 0699 Retirement Savings Act D,
  • and the bank details of health insurance companies

must always include the city and postal code.

If you use recipient keys, the bank details stored there must also always include the city and postal code.

The data must be checked and updated once before the changeover to pain.001.0001.09 and must be kept complete on an ongoing basis. There are currently no checks for this in the SAP standard; the payment medium can be created without errors despite missing data.

Solution

We have developed an scdsoft DTA verification report for SAP HCM, which you can use to check whether your master data meets the requirements for structured data. This ensures that all necessary address data is available or indicates which address data still needs to be added.

The report supports you in the one-time check and correction of master data before the changeover to pain.001.001.09, as well as in the ongoing check before the payment medium is created.

Scope of checks:

  • Data records of the following infotypes are checked for completeness of address data:
    • Infotype 0009 Bank details
    • Infotype 0010 Asset formation
    • Infotype 0011 External transfer
    • Infotype 0116 Garnishment DE Transfer
    • Infotype 0699 AVmG
  • The master data of the health insurance companies is checked for completeness of address data.
  • Customizing of address data is checked for completeness of address data.
