scdsoft Manager Self-Service App: ‘Proof of vaccination, recovery or testing’ for SAP Fiori
Since November 24th, Germany has enforced the 3G rule in the workplace. This means that employees must be either vaccinated, tested, or recovered from COVID-19 and must be able to provide proof of this upon starting work. Employers are obligated to monitor and document compliance with these rules. The requirement, which was decided by the federal government and states, is in effect until March 19, 2022. Companies face fines of up to 25,000 euros for violations of the control and documentation obligations for 3G proofs. The data must be deleted no later than six months after collection, and employers are not allowed to disclose it to third parties.

The functionalities of our SAP Fiori application (MSS)
Our new software solution implements the so-called ‘supervisor model’ as a best practice variant. This means that employees must show their proof of vaccination, recovery or testing to their supervisor. In our SAP Fiori application for Manager Self-Service (MSS), we enable a supervisor to capture an employee’s proof.
For vaccination/recovery proof, this can be done initially as a one-time entry (with additional specification of the complete vaccination date or the expiration date of recovery). When recording the test result, it is also captured with a validity period (24 hours for rapid tests, 48 hours for PCR tests). This results in an overview list of individuals to be checked each day. This list is also presented to the supervisor.
Data Privacy and Security
We strongly recommend implementing the proof of vaccination, recovery or testing obligation using a secure human resources system like SAP HCM, rather than relying on paper or Excel lists. The data collected is initially stored within our add-on solution, which is installed in your SAP HCM landscape. However, the data can easily be transferred to a customer-specific infotype. As a result, all requirements for data blocking and deletion can also be implemented effectively and straightforwardly.
