Display news and maintenance notifications prominently in the SAP Fiori Launchpad
We have developed a new SAP Fiori application that allows you to provide various information to users immediately after they log in to the SAP Fiori Launchpad.
Functionalities and Architecture
This dialog box can be used to display various types of messages, company news, or system and maintenance notifications (similar to ‘SM02’) in the SAP Fiori Launchpad.
The message is displayed immediately after login and appears prominently in the center of the screen. When there are multiple messages, buttons for scrolling through them are displayed. For important messages, manual acknowledgment by the user can be requested, with the log being saved.
For each message, settings for display duration and frequency (after every login / once daily / only once ever) can be maintained. It is also possible to specify the target audience for a message. The graphical presentation and formatting are done through a separate SAP Fiori application, including a rich-text editor for administrators.
Technical independence
By installing it on the SAP Fiori Gateway, independence from the SAP HCM backend is ensured. This allows you to inform your end users in the SAP Fiori Launchpad even if the SAP HCM backend is not available.
